Organisation

LEO Pharma is fully owned by the LEO Foundation. This independent, private institution provides stability to plan and implement focused, long-term R&D programmes. It also allows LEO Pharma to make fast decisions, and respond quickly to great ideas.

LEO Pharma is headquartered in Ballerup, Denmark. This site is also home to the Global R&D division, the Development team and the New Products team which make up our Pharmaceutical Formulation section.

Global R&D is supported by an external discovery function which runs integrated drug discovery projects with partners worldwide. Within the Development team, clinical research and regulatory personnel are also located globally, and we collaborate with external partners worldwide on selected development projects.

Increasingly, our R&D projects are driven by multidisciplinary project teams that integrate specialised knowledge in R&D with expertise in clinical practice and therapeutic needs.
