LEO Pharma UK/IE believe in improving people’s lives through pioneering and delivering innovative treatments and holistic programmes that empower and give a voice to people living with skin and thrombotic (blood clotting) conditions. Our group’s entire structure and ethos is focused around this belief, as evidenced through the LEO Foundation, which pledges that we are devoted to focusing all of our efforts on patients, rather than shareholders or other external influencers, in a responsible and transparent manner.
We take our people-focus one step further with Helping SARAH. ‘SARAH’ brings to life the people who LEO Pharma UK/IE strive to help live fuller and healthier lives. It is likely that we all know a SARAH, as over half of the population have a skin condition at any one time and 15-20% of GPs workload is taken up with skin consultations.1
Our group’s core values can be seen in action through our desire to involve those who have skin and thrombosis (blood clot) related conditions in our work, ensuring that the voices of those most important to us are heard. Additionally, our desire for transparent and ethical working is demonstrated in our pledge to increase clinical trial transparency by making data from our trials since 1990 available to all. LEO Pharma was the second company to make this pledge globally.
We listen and give a voice to those living with dermatological and thrombotic conditions. This approach allows us to connect with and develop meaningful partnerships with the real experts - those who are affected by the conditions. The Voices in Partnership (ViP) Programme is testament to our active listening, with people who live with conditions we aim to treat invited to become a part of the LEO Pharma UK/IE team. By focusing on those that matter most we believe LEO Pharma can truly make a difference.
